here is a good flicker photo set from spjwebster showing why 6 months later i have not thrown the box away and it is still on my shelf.

its perfect, they fit perfectly like the earphones have been cast in card bored and when you unpack them you are excavating them.

then when you do unpack the earphones each layer has a slightly different shape, they are like stencils. I like making stencils and there is something emensley satisfying designing and cuting a good set of stensils, this appeals to that art nerd with a craft knife in me.

It evoked a memory in me; did you ever use lined paper that have holes pre punched into the margin, ready to be sliped into a ring binder? did you ever absent mindedley use that hole to draw circles all over the page underneath? just me then. Thats what these cardbord cutouts make me think of. they are less “eco friendly” and more just plane fun craftiness in my eyes.

What did I have to worry about you done good man, still made me happy and sad, dance and shout just like old mates do. listen just ease up on the cave echo, i know it makes you sound like an omnipotent god but grates after a while! so doesn’t matter you have gon back to your roots were still cool aren’t we? you are still as catchy just in a different, more echoie, way.
